04/29/2007: Need for Networking of Immigrants to Support Immigration Reform Legislation
When it comes to the community organizing and support activities for the comprehensive immigration reform legislation, there are hundreds of organizations that organize, network, and mobilize the immigrants in support of the issues involving the difficult issues of legalization of illegal aliens. However, the same is not true with the employment-based immigration reform issues. The lobbying and organizing and support of these issues rely heavily on the employers, businesses, and academic institutions such as competeamerica. Without doubt, the employers should be the most effective and powerful groups to pressure the Congress, President, and other players in the political process.
However, it is time that the immigrants themselves also participate in a similar effort to share information, issues, and supporting activities. Obviously, the first move is to organize and build a network throuhout the nation and the world, and along with the networking, other support activities must be conducted and expanded. There are not too many immigrant groups that are focused on the employment-based immigration reform issues. Currently, a website of www.immigrationvoice.org is launching this campaign and attempting to organize and network in the employment-based immigrant communities. This reporter urges the foreign professional workers to visit and join this group to help an activities of side-kick from the standpoint of stakeholder foreign workers in support of the employers and their support groups. I dont think there are hard and fast rules for interview. Some cases were transfered to NBC(National Benefit Center) to share the workload and some they had questions about the case. In my case , the interviewer told me that possible reason is there is a note in my case that said "Not working for the sponsor" which is a geniune question since I wasn't working for employer when 485 is filed. They could have issued RFE instead.
I think this delayed my case otherwise I would also be one of the lucky guys who got their 485s approved this last summer. In general it should be a good thing for you to know that your case is being worked on. Since now that there are no visas available , any temporaray delay shouldnot matter.

I need to take an apppointment for myself and my wife in May. Unfortunatly few days back I found a mistake in my wife's password and it will take 21 days to get it corrected. I doubt if she can get the passport on time to schedule an appointment for May 2nd week. However I am sure to get wife's new passport by May 2nd week. So I was thinking of taking an appointment using her old PP number and editing the info later.
Will I be able to edit the PP number later online...?? Or not. greatly apprecite if you could provide some info on this...

Submit both the I94 at the airport. But maintain copies. Also do not forget to submit the I94 which has the stamp when you entered this country if you have not already done before.

I have heard if one leaves the country while AP is being processed, the application is considered abandoned.

My wife is on H4 visa.She got an offer from Non profit organization and they are ready to do H1B.As it is Non profit Organization is that correct she can start working as soon as H1B is approved.
Is it possible to Transfer H1b in future to regular company if H1B quota exists.
Are there any restrictions involved.
Can any one please shed some light for me.

I made an emergency appointment about a year ago to get my h1b stamped at new Delhi. To schedule such an appointment you would need the LIN# of your I-797 ( H1b approval notice ), your US residential and your employer information.

My case was filed on June 4th , 2007 & till now I haven't got my FP notice & no update on the EAD application.I have called USCIS few times.They said sometimes it can take up to 6 months after 485 filing
